DIgSILENT PowerFactory Simulation and Analysis Software

The development of DIgSILENT [DIgital SImuLator for Electrical NeTwork] software began in 1976, and utilized the talent of many experienced power system engineers and software developers directly involved with the planning, operation and maintenance of power systems. Since the inception of DIgSILENT, the program has grown to incorporate a vast array of analysis features that are required to plan, operate and maintain any aspect of the power system. The new DIgSILENT PowerFactory software is...

  • StationWare Protection Management Software

    StationWare Protection Management Software

In addition to the PowerFactory software, DIgSILENT has also launched the StationWare. This excellent software provides a reliable central protection settings database and management system for the complete power system substation data, both to manage the various control parameters and to centrally store substation related information and data. It stores and records all settings in a central database, allows modelling of all relevant workflow sequences, provides quick access to relay manuals, inter...

  • PowerFactory Dynamic System Monitor

    PowerFactory Dynamic System Monitor

The DIgSILENT PowerFactory Monitor PFM300 provides an excellent overview of grid operation. The multi-timeframe recording mechanism captures all types of events (e.g. those caused by short circuits, switching actions or instability phenomena), mid-term transients and steady-state grid characteristics. PFM300 is an integrated, multifunctional data acquisition system that covers recording, monitoring and analysis of signals in all relevant timeframes. Flexible hardware and software components allow ...

  • DIgSILENT GridCode Software

    DIgSILENT GridCode Software

New rules and grid codes to connect generators to the grid are emerging worldwide. In every country or region, the operators responsible for the safety and reliability of the power system have established different requirements to connect renewable generation systems to transmission and distribution networks. Such requirements are highly dependent upon the characteristics of individual power systems.

DIgSILENT has developed and released a new test verification tool called DIgSILENT GridCode v1.0, in response to the need to verify whether a wind farm, solar plant, or any other generator is compliant with local Grid Code requirements on basis of unit tests executed. Some of the functions can be verified off-line or on-line. DIgSILENT GridCode is already being used by manufacturers and laboratories during field testing of wind turbines to verify compliance.
