  • Need Clarification About Simulation of Differential Protection

I want to know if differential protection can be modeled using PowerFcatory.

    Yes, of coarse.
DIgSILENT PowerFactory models overcurrent, differential, directional, and distance protection.

      Dear Rashid,

This is example showing Differential Relay installed to protect a transmission line.
The images show clearly relay tripping for in-zone fault and restraining for out-of-zone faults.

        This is very useful topic
Many equipment failures can produce unique electrical signatures. These signatures can be observed from the voltage and current waveforms associated with the equipment. Useful information can be extracted from the waveforms for the purpose of equipment condition monitoring. PowerFactory PFM300 is universal dynamic monitor for all power system applications.
